More Gorgeous Christmas trees

More Gorgeous Christmas trees

Confession: I am not a good decorator. I want to be better at it, but then after about twenty minutes of fussing with my Christmas tree, I have had it and figure – meh, it works. But these people are awesome decorators and I love, love, love their trees!

Deborah A. in the US …

Anna L. who is from Ukraine, but now lives in the US …

And Marilyn L. also in the US …

That’s it for our Christmas in our Village posts for this year. I hope you’ve had as much fun as I have seeing everyone’s decorations. Much love!

Christmas with Jennifer Youngblood and Rachelle J. Christensen

Christmas with Jennifer Youngblood and Rachelle J. Christensen

Christmas Eve, Bookworms! Are you ready?

I can’t believe it’s come so fast. At our family party last night my mother-in-law commented that she could still smell Thanksgiving turkey in the house and now suddenly it’s Christmas. I agree! It’s come fast, but it’s been a great season and here are two more of my favorite authors to share their decorations with you.

Jennifer Youngblood‘s tree is so pretty and I think it has a type of Southern charm that is distinctive to her.

And Rachelle J. Christensen has a fantastic tree that reminds me so much of the fresh trees my dad used to bring down from the mountains when I was a kid. She says it looks kind of funny because it tipped over and they had to redecorate. Love it!

Our Christmas Ornament Tradition

Our Christmas Ornament Tradition

When I was five, my mom started the tradition of giving us a new ornament every year. Sometimes they were to commemorate something that had happened during the year – like when I got my first toe shoes – and other times they were simply pretty or unique ornaments. We’ve all continued the tradition with our own families and here are the ornaments I gave my four children this year …

Layla – she loves Avatar and specifically the water symbol:

Syd – she loves music. (This is a piece of sea glass with a silver note charm):

Aiden – this is the year he developed an obsession with sharks:

Evan – first year playing Lacrosse:

When we take the tree down, I’ll get out the ornaments I received as a child and take some pictures for you. Right now they’re all packed away safely out of the dog’s reach.

Christmas with Kimberly Krey and Taylor Hart

Christmas with Kimberly Krey and Taylor Hart

We’re getting down to the wire and I still have lots more pictures to show you! Here’s how two of my favorite authors decorate their trees:

Kimberly Krey uses all the ornaments her four children have made over the years. She says it’s getting a bit crowded, but they love it. I love the big letters in front of the tree, what a clever idea.

And here is Taylor Hart with her gorgeous tree and sweet doggo. I love the turquoise ribbon. So pretty!

Christmas Nativity Collection

Christmas Nativity Collection

My sister collects nativity sets from all over the world and they are set up all over her house this year. Aren’t they amazing? Which one is your favorite?

Christmas with Kimberley Montpetit and Christine Kersey

Christmas with Kimberley Montpetit and Christine Kersey

This is so much fun! I love getting these pictures and seeing how everyone celebrates this very special season. Today we have two more sweet romance authors.

Kimberley Montpetit has a cute little vintage car on her snow covered village roads and a tree with some gorgeous red bows.

And Christine Kersey’s tree is so colorful and packed with ornaments! I want to curl up in that comfy looking chair and read all day.

Christmas with Cindy Roland Anderson and Cami Checketts

Christmas with Cindy Roland Anderson and Cami Checketts

Let’s visit some of my favorite sweet romance authors at Christmastime…

Cindy Roland Anderson has a beautiful, colorful tree and a Christmas village that makes you want to start caroling.

And here’s Cami Checketts‘ gorgeous tree (love the big snowflakes!) and her goofball son nicknamed Pizza who likes to photobomb. The cardboard image is Cami’s oldest son who is on a two-year religious mission in the Philippines and this is their last Christmas without him so they’re all excited.
